Trainee Electronics Engineer

Details of Job

Contract: 40 Hours Per Week

Location: Unit 7, Ravenhurst Court, Warrington, WA3 6PN.

Salary: TBC

Neutronic Technologies are recruiting for an ambitious Trainee Electronics Engineer Apprentice to be based in Birchwood, Warrington. This is a permanent full-time role working Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary, and benefits package.

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

  •  Basic Repairs
  •  Basic Wiring Diagrams
  •  Repair small drives / screens
  •  Learning to use equipment; Test Rigs, scope Meter.
  •  Working on our Job Management System
  • Working alongside logistics to ensure jobs are collected and delivered in an organised manner.
  • Adhering to H&S and cleanliness
  • Managing your progress and performance with your manager
  • Completing all tasks set by the supervisor and assisting wherever possible.
  • Working closely with staff to foster professional values and build good relationships
  • Other duties may be required as instructed by Team Leader / Supervisor

Minimum requirement: HNC in Electronic Engineering

    Pump Repair for the Soft Drink Industry

    A Neutronic customer from the Soft Drinks industry called in need of a pump repair, which occurred once they had loaded syrup into their machine. This created the problem that they only had 24 hours before they would have to throw the syrup away. Losing tens of thousands of pounds for the manufacturer.

    Immediately our driver went and collected the offending item. When Neutronic received the pump repair our engineers set about dismantling. The engineers began a full motor rewind on the pump as needed. There was damage to both the seal diameter and the mechanical seal. Whilst one of our engineers set about rewinding the stator, another engineer set about performing a DE-shaft repair on the seal diameter. All spares were ordered and our driver collected the bearings and seals that were required. Once the rewind was completed and the parts assembled our engineers performed a full run and pressure test of the pump before delivering back to customer.

    Neutronic received the emergency call at 5am. We managed to deliver back the pump repair back to site and fit it on the machine later that night. This gave our customer a full production shift to use the syrup they would have had to have wasted.

      Testing Times!

      When looking for an Electric Motor Repair partner there are many different factors to consider, such as:

      • Facilities
      • 24/7 Service and Capabilities.

      One of the factors that many are not aware of is the quality of the motor testing facilities of the repair centre. For example how does the repairer perform the test sequences to fully test the motor windings?
